Uiseag Aiseig removed from Spotify

I recently took the decision to remove my album, Uiseag Aiseig, from Spotify.

Reading that the streaming platform’s billionaire owner, Daniel Eck’s company, Prima Materia, invested €600 million in Military AI has filled me with disgust. This is technology used to kill people.

The streaming industry is already stealing from artists who make a pittance on their music. Using riches to invest in war is not something I will stand by.

I am very aware that I am a tiny fish in a massive pond, and that I don’t have a lot to lose in leaving Spotify. I have not made a penny from the site since releasing my album in March, 2025.

But I want to make a stand, as an artist and as a consumer of music who had previously paid for Spotify.

I would urge you to spread the word about this and to consider cancelling your Spotify subscription if you have one.

I have recently started using Tidal, which is much like Spotify, is not linked to war and pays better royalties to artists.
